Across Iberia, our business acts as a respected partner to healthcare organizations. During the past four decades, we have grown here exponentially with the acquisition of local businesses (Fabersanitas Industrial and Sendal) and multinationals (CareFusion and BARD). We have 1700+ associates, based in different sites in Spain and Portugal, who are all working together to solve some of the most challenging health issues in the region.

Our sites
Spain
Our branch in Spain was opened in 1978. In 1991 our Technological Innovation Center was built, with the objective of improving our current offer and developing new processes for better and more efficient production. Now, we have our main office in Madrid and a smaller commercial site in Málaga. With three Manufacturing sites in San Agustín (Madrid), Fraga (Huesca) and Almaraz (Cáceres), we’re able to offer a whole range of opportunities across the country, with innovative work taking place within the very heart of the capital.
Portugal
We’ve been present in Portugal since 2001. Our Porto office is home to our Shared Services organisation, as well as teams from across our business units and segments.
Across both locations, our people are trusted with autonomy and supported to show up as themselves.

When I learned about the impact BD has on patients’ lives and great career opportunities, I knew that I wanted to join this company. Having started my career at BD 25 years ago in marketing and taking on increasingly complex responsibilities in different divisions, I haven’t stayed in the same role for more than 5 years. Besides that, during my time at BD I have had the opportunity to work in different countries. I am proud to see the impact we have on people’s lives.

Considering my experience working for laboratories, I wasn’t sure BD was the right company for me, but I decided to give it a try. Since I joined BD – 31 years ago, I had a few different roles along with the opportunity to work in different countries in Europe and South America.
