Job Description Summary

The Field Service Technician’s role is to support our NZ based customers involving commissioning, fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of primarily the Automated Pharmacy Dispensing product, Infusion pumps and ensure the correct operation and integration to customer systems.

This position is based in Mt Wellington, Auckland.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that systems and maintenance schedules in designated area are maintained

  • Provide technical support to customers

  • Machine commissioning and customer training

  • Provide troubleshooting support to customer sites

  • Workshop activities including infusion pump repairs

  • Plan, schedule and communicate Preventative Maintenance visits and breakdown visits to fit in with the customers’ requirements. Comply with Preventative Maintenance, service agreement and support SOP’s.

  • Ensure there is minimal or zero overdue Preventative Maintenance tasks by scheduling and planning assigned work

  • Ensure calendar updates are visible including scheduled work, annual leave, installations etc.

  • Attend to server maintenance support requests and reboots in ANZ from time to time.

  • As a BD representative, exhibit professionalism always.

  • Maintain company confidentially in all dealings with customers and product knowledge.

  • Ensure safe work practices are always followed to assure the health and safety of oneself or other persons in the company.

  • Adhere to organization and department policies, quality procedures and protocols.

  • Document all work (accurate and up to date) carried out in relation to repairs, preventative maintenance, calibration, performance, and electrical safety testing.

  • Maintain records in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Set and agree on individual personal objectives with your manager and actively participate in the performance appraisal of those objectives.

  • Complete all recalls on time, with zero overdue

  • Ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated prior to due by date and not used beyond to ensure accurate calibrations are carried out

Travel and work outside business operational hours

  • Working hours may vary at times due to customer demands and onsite requirements (after-hours and weekend).

  • Participate in the afterhours roster of service, responding to all service orders received within the guaranteed response time, and properly close the orders per company policy.

  • On call remote support required

  • Available to work travel and work interstate as requested on short notice

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability to complete technical repairs and upgrades to electro-mechanical equipment

  • AS/NZS 3551 certified (Advantageous)

  • Strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting, interpersonal skills, as well as time management

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with people at all levels, internally and externally

  • Action oriented, self-motivated, and enthusiastic

  • Flexible and adaptable with capability and willingness to embrace change

  • Current driver’s license

  • Experience within Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics related is sought after

  • Electronics/computing, Trades Certificate, engineering certificate/diploma or degree advantageous

  • Understanding of computers and assigned software

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Packages

  • Holds appropriate construction card or equivalent for site access
