Job Description

PositionSummary:

Responsible forpreparing ,organizing, and moving of product for theCannula department.  Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies,proceduresand best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations,policiesand procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Meet established production standardsandquality requirements of the product and operating with in the policies and procedures of the Quality Sysytem. 

  • Check all material for proper batches

  • Segregate material into sub lots as needed

  • Ensure LP’s are not mixed on cart

  • Take daily inventory to ensure product flow to the grind operation

  • Responsible for floor cleaning in the department

  • Dump waste/scrap cannula barrels as needed

  • Conduct grind stone inventory, stock grind stones

  • Prepare beads for grind floor

  • Wrap H1000 Safety Stock Pallets

  • Must be able to safelyoperateelectric forklifts (stand up and sit down), electric pallet jacks, slip sheeting equipment and material tuggers.  

  • Must achieve andmaintainforklift certification.  

  • Other duties asrequiredto support the needs of the business

Education:

  • High School diploma/GEDpreferred

  • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience isrequired

Experience:

  • Previousmanufacturing experience preferred

  • Previousforklift experience preferred

  • Previousexperience in cannula, with knowledge of product and processes preferred

Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere–Proficient

  • Verbal communication skills - Proficient

  • Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient

  • Teamwork – Proficient

  • Organization skills, detailed oriented–Basic

PCP Level:4
