Job Description

Job Summary

The Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end coordination of complex separation, transfer and transition projects related to the Rubix program (sale of the Swindon manufacturing site, close and sell the Zaragoza site). This role is reporting to the Director for Outsource Manufacturing at the Pharma .

The role works in close collaboration with the ISC VP, Network Strategy Leader, End-to-End Value Stream Leaders, Legal teams, the Buyers’ teams, external consultants, and BD functional organizations to ensure integrated planning, disciplined governance, project execution/line-transfers, TSA/rTSA execution, financial oversight, and proactive risk management.

The Project Manager ensures that transfer and separation activities are delivered in a compliant, timely, and cost-effective manner while protecting BD from operational, regulatory, financial, and real-estate risks.

Job Responsibilities

Program Governance & Coordination

· Act as overall coordinator for the transfer and separation program in collaboration with ISC leadership, Network Strategy, and End-to-End Value Stream leaders.

· Establish and maintain the integrated master project plan, milestones, dependencies, and critical path.

· Drive structured governance including progress tracking, issue escalation, decision management, and executive reporting.

· Ensure alignment between ISC, business units, and supporting functions throughout the separation lifecycle.

Separation Execution – Buyer & BD Interface

· Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day separation topics between BD and the Buyer’s team:

o Swindon: Quvara & parent company Buckland Group

o Zaragoza: Diamond Foundry

· Lead cross-functional coordination with BD teams to ensure clear ownership, timely execution, and issue resolution.

· Ensure outstanding separation challenges are identified, tracked, and resolved.

TSA / rTSA Exit Management

· Lead and coordinate TSA and rTSA exit planning across all impacted functions (Quality, IT, Finance, GIE, Supply Chain, etc.).

· Secure timely TSA exits by coordinating with functional process leaders.

· Ensure each function (including PS Quality) has a clear and sustainable Day-2 operating model post-TSA.

· Manage system and process transitions, including manufacturing-to-buying setup and regulatory alignment.

Risk Management (incl. Real Estate Developer Exposure)

· Drive risk management and development of mitigation plans with the extended team.

· Actively manage risks related to BD’s potential exposure as a real-estate developer with the sale of the Zaragoza site. Ensure appropriate organization is put in place to manage this risk over the next 3+ years. Act as main point of escalation until organization is put in place.

· Coordinate with GIE Facilities, Legal, external counsel, Finance, and Real Estate teams to assess, mitigate, and provision for risks.

· Ensure appropriate risk governance, documentation, and financial provisions are in place.

Financial Management & Forecasting

· Drive financial performance of both the transition (Physioject) and the separation projects in collaboration with PS ISC Finance.

· Optimize both transfer and separation costs, including CapEx and BTL costs at the receiving plant (TTB), IT decommissioning, contractor activities, and contract novations.

· Lead quarterly ATL, BTL, and Capex forecasts in line with financial commitments.

· Support where appropriate PS Procurement and ISC Finance on cost optimization initiatives (e.g., Swindon / Quvara variances).

· Secure effective financial closing of the Zaragoza project with Spain and PS ISC Finance.

· Ensure appropriate provisioning for identified risks (real estate exposure, exit taxes, etc.).

Supply Chain & Business Alignment

· Secure alignment between ISC, PS supply chain, and business stakeholders on assumptions to maximize business outcomes.

· Work with Platforms and Supply Chain teams to optimize production volumes to Quvara to optimize costs / prevent unintended fixed-cost increases during and after separation.

Physioject Transfer & Other Responsibilities

· Act as PMO lead for the Physioject transfer project.

o Ensure robust and realistic project plans are resourced and executed in line with overall separation objectives and in line with business and PS ISC’s goals and allow to secure continuity of supply to PS customers.

o Carefully coordinate execution with PS Supply Chain and receiving plant to secure goal attainment.

o Support project team to secure effective coordination of the Physioject assembly line transfer activities between BD and Quvara teams.

o Ensure effective coordination of the assembly line transfer to TTB and the moulds’ transfer to Quvara’s Slovakia site to optimize GP improvement while securing continuity of supply and minimize disruption to PS’ customers.

· Coordinate with GIE Facilities Associate Director to close outstanding construction punch-list items.

Education and Experience

Core Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

· 8+ years of experience in project or program management within manufacturing, supply chain, or complex operational environments.

Preferred Experience

· Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, cost control, and risk provisioning.

· Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams without direct authority.

· Proven experience leading separation, carve-out, or TSA/rTSA-driven programs.

· Experience operating in regulated environments (GxP / ISO 13485 preferred).

Languages

· English (fluent)

· Hungarian (preferred)

· Spanish (optional)

Knowledge and Skills

· Ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects with some degree of ambiguity.

· Strong governance discipline (planning, RAID management, decision forums, executive communication).

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

· Risk-based mindset with strong problem-solving capability.

· Financial literacy applied to large, multi-year programs.

· Advanced Microsoft Project skills.

· Familiarity with SAP and workflow tools
