Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budget, 3-year strategic plan, and quarterly forecasts for the business unit.
  • Work with functional leaders to gather underlying assumptions for budget/forecast/ASR. Ensure proper assumptions such as volume growth, one-time projects, depreciations, inflation, etc. are built into planning submissions.  Help identify potential risks and opportunities and perform ongoing tracking.

  • Provide support to functional units in developing growth strategies and in achieving key financial and business objectives.  Play an integral part in assessing potential risks and opportunities for financial goals and identifying action plans to address gaps.

Actual reporting

  • Own and lead monthly income statement analysis as a core component of the month‑end close process, partnering closely with Finance Analysis, NASSC, and local accounting teams to ensure accurate and complete expense recognition. Analyze, report, and clearly explain performance variances against Projection, Budget, and Prior Year.
  • Apply strong expertise in revenue, cost, and expense recognition accounting, including complex areas such as capital and operating lease accounting, to ensure compliance, accuracy, and consistency in financial reporting.
  • Drive sales performance monitoring by collaborating with business partners to track and report weekly sales results, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and translating insights into informed monthly and quarterly outlooks.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed financial analyses—including price/volume, excess and obsolete inventory, accruals, and product cost—across both actual month‑end close and planning cycles to support financial accuracy and decision‑making.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial results and insights at regional and global leadership forums, delivering clear, actionable narratives to support executive decision‑making.

Other financial tasks

  • Lead and contribute to cross‑functional Finance initiatives and special projects as required, collaborating closely with Finance peers to share best practices, drive continuous improvement, and incorporate emerging insights.
  • Develop robust financial models and business case analyses to support investment decisions, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Evaluate existing accounting policies, financial activities, processes, and systems, identifying opportunities for enhancement and providing well‑reasoned recommendations to Management.
