Job Description
The Business Director, BDI Urology & Critical Care (UCC), META is responsible for owning the commercial execution and operational performance of the UCC portfolio across the region. The role drives revenue growth, market development, and customer engagement by delivering regional strategy, strengthening Go-To-Market efficiency, and ensuring principled commercialization aligned with global BDI UCC priorities.
The role is a key member of the META Leadership Team and partners closely with Global UCC leadership to deliver balanced business results.
Duties & Responsibilities
Business & Commercial Leadership
Define and implement the BDI UCC strategy for the META region, aligned with global platform and corporate priorities.
Develop and own the three‑year strategic, operational, and financial plan for the UCC business in META.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunities across arterial, venous, and endovascular segments.
Build regional portfolio, market access, and clinical strategy based on competitive intelligence and healthcare system dynamics.
Financial & P&L Accountability
Full P&L ownership, including revenue, gross margin, and OIBT performance.
Deliver annual operating plan commitments with strong forecasting accuracy and financial rigor.
Drive pricing governance, portfolio mix optimization, and balanced margin expansion.
Commercial Excellence & Go‑To‑Market
Define and continuously optimize Go‑To‑Market models across countries, channels, and customer segments.
Partner with Country General Managers to ensure consistent execution of commercial excellence initiatives.
Lead new product launches, adoption, and lifecycle management in collaboration with Global UCC teams.
Build and maintain strong executive‑level relationships with key customers, clinicians, KOLs, and strategic partners.
Cross‑Functional & Matrix Leadership
Collaborate closely with Global PI, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Medical Affairs teams.
Ensure end‑to‑end compliance with BD quality systems, regulatory requirements, and business conduct standards.
Drive operational rigor, performance management, and continuous improvement.
People & Organization Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing regional UCC leadership team.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion, and customer focus.
Develop robust succession plans and leadership pipelines for critical UCC roles.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required
Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred
Experience
Senior commercial leadership experience in urology, critical care, acute care, or related medical device segments.
Proven track record of P&L ownership and profitable growth across multi‑country regions.
Experience operating successfully within matrixed, global organizations.
Proven capability to lead transformation, portfolio growth, and change in regulated healthcare environments.

Additional Information
Role requires regular travel across META markets.
Operates in a highly supervised healthcare environment.
