BD UK leads in patient and healthcare worker safety and the technologies that enable medical research and clinical laboratories. We’re proud to provide innovative solutions that help advance tomorrow’s healthcare today, as part of the BD global family.
Our commercial operations span sites in Winnersh and Crawley. Plymouth is home to our manufacturing site and Swindon is our base for our manufacturing and R&D site. Together with Lancing, our distribution center, there are over 2800 of us making a difference every day. In the UK, we’re all about creating new and bold solutions that enhance the diagnosis of infectious disease and cancer, improve medication management, promote infection prevention, equip surgical and interventional procedures and support the management of diabetes.

Our sites
Winnersh
Winnersh is home to our commercial operations. Following the acquisition of CareFusion in 2015, we relocated from Oxford and Basingstoke to the Winnersh Triangle business park. Here, we are connected to and from London, Heathrow Airport, and the wider south England network. Our office in Winnersh Triangle has made it easier to work across teams and to develop solutions that will make a real difference to improving patient safety, whilst helping the NHS to reduce the costs of providing quality healthcare. As the beating heart of our operations in the UK, this is somewhere you can build a reputation and solidify your career in our commercial business.
Plymouth
Our Plymouth site began manufacturing in 1981, with just 88 associates working to produce our products. Since then, our team has grown to 600 and our capabilities have risen along with those numbers. Close to the sea and down the road from Cornwall, Plymouth gives a good balance between town life and country air. Here, we also support many charities such as the Children’s Happy Hospital fund at Derriford Hospital.
Crawley, Lancing and Swindon
Making up our commercial, manufacturing, R&D and distribution operations for the UK, our work in Crawley, Lancing and Swindon keeps our UK business running. Two locations being within a short train of London and one by the sea, all of them have much to offer. Here, we support you in whichever diverse role you play within our business, helping to build your skills and career opportunities.
