About the role
The Key Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving customer centricity by leading and building relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers across key accounts.
You will be the subject matter expect for the Surgery Business Unit and be regionally responsible for the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain. This is a highly strategic role that requires a proactive individual who thrive in a dynamic environment and is committed to making a positive impact for patients and healthcare providers.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Drive the sales revenue and business growth within the assigned territory.
- Increase BD’s category share in the targeted markets.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support the growth of the business.
- Engage and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), local societies, and healthcare partners.
- Driving strategic market share gain initiatives, including account segmentation, targeting, and demand generation.
- Implement market development and shaping initiatives, including new product launches.
- Train and support partners with product knowledge and updates.
- Provide technical support and create product awareness among healthcare professionals (HCPs).
- Ensure correct product positioning, detailing, and evaluation to support sales effectiveness.
- Comply with BD’s commercial excellence strategy and SFDC (Salesforce) reporting standards.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a medical, healthcare, or related discipline
- 2 – 3 years of sales experience in the medical devices industry is highly preferred
- Key Account Management experience is a plus.
- Proven regional experience in the Gulf Region is a must.
- Strong leadership skills and a solid business management foundation.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with a growth mindset.
- Self-motivated with a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned regions (UAE, Oman, Bahrain).
