Since its foundation in 1951 as the first expansion outside the US, BD-Canada is uniquely positioned to help improve the continuum of care from diagnosis to the treatment of disease and support millions of Canadian patients and caregivers from coast to coast.

In Canada, BD maintains a Corporate Head Office in Mississauga, ON and a Manufacturing Facility in Quebec City, QC as well as with two Technical Service Centres in Ontario and Quebec. We employ over 600 associates in Canada in roles in various areas of expertise such as manufacturing, supply chain, sales, marketing, clinical and customer service.

Rewards & Recognition

Aligned with the BD Way, the Rewards & Recognition (R&R) Committee at BD-Canada is an incredible team run by associates and for associates that is passionate about promoting an inclusive work environment, building a culture that rewards efforts to grow and simplify, and empowering our peers to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary efforts of others. As a team and individually, our associates make a difference each and everyday and we have a menu of recognition platforms made available to say thanks, both big and small, to your peers: Daily Work Tango, Quartey Unsung Hero and Year End Annual Awards.

Health & Safety

The JH&S committee is dedicated in:

- Ensuring regular (monthly) meetings are held at the workplace to discuss health and safety

- Recording and posting the minutes of each meeting, inspection and discussion for all associates to view

- Inspecting workplace monthly and identify actual or potential hazards

- Recommending health and safety improvements in the workplace

- Acting as a point of reference for all general health and safety questions

- Supporting accident policy process on behalf of the organization

Francization

The Francization committee is dedicated in Preserving and promoting the French language in all sectors for associates/customers located in Quebec. Their main obligations include:

- Ensuring that all official Internal communication must be available in French (Memo, HR Policies, etc.).

- Provide guidelines for the use of technological equipment, software and applications in French.

- Ensure the widespread use of information technology in French for local activities.

- Provide guidelines on the use of French in internal communications.

- Ensure that the tools are accessible in the local language.
