Summary
Responsible for the proper setup of all products in accordance with the established procedures; ensures that each product passes inspection and customer requirements are met prior to shipment. Performs set up functions as required including but not limited to: preparing work area, selecting appropriate tools and equipment, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or defects, adhering to safety protocols, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities
1. Prepares work area and equipment according to production needs.
2. Selects appropriate tools and equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
3. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and reports any malfunctions or defects to supervisor.
4. Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe working environment.
5. Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues, concerns, and progress related to assigned tasks.
6. Maintains accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and equipment performance.
7. Monitors quality control standards and assists in conducting quality assurance checks as needed.
8. Assists in training new employees and providing guidance and support to team members as needed.
9. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall production processes.
10. Collaborates cross-functionally with other departments to address operational challenges and implement solutions.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent degree preferred.
2. Prior experience in manufacturing/operations setting preferred.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with others.
5. Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
6. Ability to lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
7. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

Preferred Skills:
1. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
2. Experience with automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
3. Familiarity with quality control processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
4. Understanding of basic math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
5. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills.
6. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
7. Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and cGMP regulations.
