Job Description

The Senior Line Shift Supervisor leads manufacturing operations by overseeing and mentoring production teams, supporting other supervisors, and driving operational performance. This role is responsible for staffing, resource allocation, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:

  • Coordinate resources and priorities within the shift. 

  • Makefinaldecision on staffing of the entire shift. 

  • Promptly address any safety issues or incidents.

  • Responsible for training plans withinline for assigned shift.

  • Daily touchpoints with line associates tosupport theEquipment Owner(EO)program.This includes but is not limited toSafety,Quality,AM defect tagging, 5S,CILTs,Center lining, TPM,breakdowns, and top losses.

  • Provide regular,timely, and specific feedback to associates.

  • Ensure an open flow ofcommunicationbetween production associates and management.  Represent concerns of production associates to management, as well as management concerns to production associates.

  • Supporttimelyresolution of issues on the line,demonstratingservant leadership and adhering to BDValues.

  • Proactivelyanticipateand address problems before theyimpactproduction.

  • Prepare and run Tier 1 production meeting and ensure alignmentwith theLine Centric Organization (LCO) team. 

  • Ensure fair and consistent application of company and departmental policies and practices. Works with associates to resolve employee relations issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.

  • Ensure thedaily PitStops arecompleted asexpectedanddaily targets,goalsand issuesare updated on thePrimary Visual Display (PVD). 

  • Ensures that alllineresources are properly focused to support any quality or line issues as they occur. 

  • Required to spend100% of their time out on the production floor except for whenrequiredto attend necessary meetings or hold performance related conversations with associates.

  • Ensure allroot cause analysisare conductedtimelyandappropriate correctiveactionsare implemented.

  • Communicate results and raise issues to theLineLeader. 

  • Responsible foraccurateKanban management and work order set up and material reconciliation.

  • Ensure accuracy of quality checks and work order documentation.  

  • Perform other duties as required to address the needs of the business.  

Shift: 6pm-6am rotating 12s A shift

Required: 

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred: 

  • BA/BS Degree – Science, Industrial management, Business, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience in a highly automated environment

  • 1year ofpeopleleadershipexperience.
