Functions as a lead person for the production of lyophilized BD Vacutainer® products.Performs set up, adjusting, and operating manufacturing equipment, and assigning direct and indirect personnel to various jobs to achieve production schedules.Manufactures product to conform to all product and quality specifications while maintaining budgeted throughput rates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

• Assigns employees to other jobs during instances of machine breakdown, changeovers or when "out of the ordinary" situations occur.  Coordinates personnel movements with supervisor or other Setup personnel.
• Keeps abreast of all production departmental goals and objectives, including:
  • Production rates
  • Quality standards
  • Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Safety - necessity for guards, OSHA standards, reporting of on the job injuries (assuring      supervisor has received accident reports from employee).
• Coordinates with and assists Production Supervisor in maintaining waste and productivity within established standards. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• HS Diploma or GED
