Responsibilities:

  • Operate lubricant dispensing & mixing equipment, and perform required production checks & machine calibrations.

  • Operate silicone heat-treating equipment and perform required inspections & calibrations.

  • Process purchase orders, coordinate shipping plans, and prepare materials for shipment.

  • Forecast component usage to schedule lubricant preparation and heat-treating operations to meet production requirements.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate documents and records pertaining to lubricant dispensing & mixing operations, heat-treating operations, purchase orders, and related shipments.

  • Oversee the proper collection and disposal of waste chemicals related to this position.

  • Maintain dispensing, mixing, heat-treating, and storage equipment in clean working order, and the lubricant laboratory in a neat and clean condition.

  • Associate must read & comprehend laboratory, material specifications, equipment operating, and safety procedures related to the position. Revise documents as needed.

  • Understand all pertinent specifications for assigned operations.

  • Requisition, receive, inspect, test, store, inventory, dispense, and prepare silicone lubricant materials and related supplies used in the lubricant laboratory.

  • Maintain good relations with and assist production personnel.

  • Perform other chemical and/or microbiological testing as requested by supervision.

  • Assist with the execution of various instrument / equipment / method validations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 6 months experience working with hand/power tools and other basic shop equipment.

  • Comfortable using measurement devices; tape measure, calipers, micrometers, RPM gauges, laser alignment.

  • Experience with pneumatic systems including air compressors preferred.
