Manager, Inventory Optimization

Job Description Summary

The inventory manager will have primary responsibility for Global UCC inventory management. This role requires a natural leader and facilitator who is driven, analytical, critical thinker, detail and action oriented, organized, and enjoys developing business processes. This position will own supply chain activities across the Global UCC business unit to optimize inventory, minimize cost, and achieve customer service goals collaboratively with Platform Leaders, Operations Partners, Regions, and Supply Chain Team. Key responsibilities include global inventory projection for both plants and regions, ensuring global BU inventory is meeting quarterly and fiscal year budget targets, collaborating with regional platform leaders and supply chain partners to ensure the optimal inventory levels are met and aligned with platform needs to best serve our customers, lead optimization initiatives to improve planning parameters, gather data and help prepare monthly presentations for inventory reviews to leadership. The inventory manager will work extensively across silos with associates from different functional areas and will help drive optimal inventory cash flow.

Responsibilities

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or related degree; or MBA/MS in relevant discipline

  • 5+ years Supply Chain, planning and/or manufacturing experience

  • Strong working knowledge of S&OE & S&OP processes

  • Demonstrated experience working in Inventory optimization tools (ie: Kinaxis, Llamasoft) and ERP systems (i.e. JDE, SAP, etc.)

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, work independently, collaboratively, and effectively manage multiple projects at the same time

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Skills Preferred

  • APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or IBF (CPF, ACPF) certification preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI and Microsoft SQL preferred
