Job Description: Site Project Coordinator - Continuous Improvement

Location: Covington, Georgia (with occasional travel to Madison, GA - up to 25%)

Reporting To: BD Excellence Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Site Project Coordinator to support and coordinate various continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing plant. This role will be instrumental in tracking, facilitating and coordinating the execution of projects related to CTW, Kaizen events, the BD Excellence program and strategic site projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project coordination, excellent communication skills, and a foundational knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies. This position will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are well-organized, resourced effectively, and aligned with site and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the planning and execution of on-site projects related to CTW, Kaizen, BD Excellence and strategic projects.
  • Track project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and escalate issues to the appropriate Project Leader or manager.
  • Assist in the development and tracking of project deliverables and timelines.
  • Work closely with team members in the manufacturing plant, providing assistance and support to drive project progress.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different project teams and stakeholders across various workstreams.
  • Liaise with technical teams and site personnel to ensure alignment and effective execution of project plans.
  • Provide general project coordination support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and tracking action items.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and systems resulting from continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training and communication materials related to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the collection and analysis of data to measure the impact and effectiveness of continuous improvement projects.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Management, Business Admin, Science, other).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the medical device or another highly regulated industry.
  • Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with formal continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events or participating in cost saving projects.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) and understanding of relevant regulations.
