Essential Functions

As a Warehouse Associate with a focus on consolidating and put-away, your primary responsibilities involve receiving incoming goods, inspecting shipments, and accurately placing items in designated storage locations within the warehouse. You'll use equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks to move and organize inventory. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure proper recording of stock levels, and you may be responsible for updating inventory management systems. Additionally, maintaining a clean and organized work environment and collaborating with team members for efficient warehouse operations are key aspects of the role. Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items are often required.

  • Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

  • Uses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packaging, methods of movement of materials, and release of materials.  

  • Ability to work independently as required. May receive general supervision with little instruction on routine work.

  • May prepare goods for final shipment (domestic and international).  

  • Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer).

  • Is knowledgeable of receiving and/or distribution function.

  • May be responsible for conducting cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories.

  • Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives.  

  • Make effective decisions relative to position requirements.

  • Compare physical inventory with inventory records to ensure the numbers match

Qualifications

  • Sit down and stand-up Forklift experience required

  • Operator license preferred

  • Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills preferred

  • Ability to safely operate all required equipment preferred

  • Must be able to pay continuous attention to detail within the operations.

  • High school diploma / GED required
