About the role
We are seeking a motivated Account Manager to join our team at BD, a leading international organization. In this role, you will be responsible for visiting hospitals in East and West Flanders to promote our extensive range of surgical products, hernia solutions, biosurgery, and infection prevention solutions.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Achieve individual sales targets in your assigned region for the surgery, biosurgery, and infection prevention ranges.
- Visit hospitals and build positive relationships with surgeons, hygienists, nurses, and procurement departments.
- Present and demonstrate our products to surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Identify new sales opportunities and expand our customer base.
- Provide technical support in the operating room.
- Handle price negotiations and contract discussions for these ranges with pharmacists.
- Represent BD at relevant conferences and trade shows, both domestically and internationally.
- Report daily sales activities and results to the Sales Manager via Salesforce.
About you
- Knowledge of the Belgian healthcare system, including competitive activities and trends.
- Experience within or understanding of the hospital environment (e.g., as a nurse, surgical assistant, or radiology technician).
- Experience in medical sales or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and social skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to achieving desired outcomes.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Problem-solving ability.
- A standout colleague who wants to share experiences and knowledge with other team members.
- Fluent in Dutch & English
- Experience with project management involving various partners is a plus.
