Reporting to the Senior Director, ISC Network Strategy, Finance, this role is primarily responsible for the financial process and analytical analysis of Network Architecture projects of the Company (manufacturing, logistic, sterilization, …). The E2E Strategy Director will coordinate and oversee a portfolio of Business Cases related to any architecture or any strategic initiatives related to E2E Supply Chain for all BUs and cross-BUs.
This role is also responsible for defining and implementing standard business case formats and KPIs across the company, providing guidance and finance support to ISC teams.
The E2E Strategy Director will also manage a large and diverse team and will be in charge of developing team members at various career stages.
This role will be a critical voice in strategic decision-making for Network optimization strategy and will be the Finance SPOC for EPDT preparation in close collaboration with SVP ISC Strategy and Transformation and his team.
Responsibilities:
Drive discussions with ISC and BU leaders to ensure maximized value creation for the Company. Work closely with BUs, Regions and global functions (GSC, Procurement, …) to understand context, drivers, dynamics and build robust Business Cases
Responsible for all Business Cases related to Network architecture projects (manufacturing, logistic, sterilization, …), including existing programs (RECODE, Blue Whale, Chess, …)
Support analysis and coordinate preparation for EPDT
Ad hoc support or special projects, as required (including potential M&A projects)
Provide guidance and assist in the coordination of quarterly projections, annual budgets, and 3-year strategic planning process
Provide guidance for restructuring / integration accounting treatments in accordance with GAAP
Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures
Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles
Plant site and headquarter visits, as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance Required
MBA/ CPA/ CMA preferred
Operations Finance preferred
7+ years of relevant accounting experience
4+ years of management experience
Previous experience within BDX Finance preferred
Strong Financial systems and tools knowledge and utilization skills (HFM, SAP, JDE, BPC)
Advanced proficiency in Excel as demonstrated by previous experience creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.) required
Previous ERP costing experience (SAP / JDE highly desirable) related to standard cost build-ups and work order variance analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Demonstrated ability to use logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Demonstrated ability to build credibility with and challenge stakeholders to drive initiatives and deliver high impact solutions to meet business needs
Resilient and persistent when faced with obstacles
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks
Strong collaboration and demonstrated ability to establish relationships and build rapport with all stakeholders, and influence management through informed discussions and presentations
