Job Description Summary

About the role:

The Network Planner’s primary objective is to ensure best-in-class customer service and inventory control of finished goods in the US Region. This position entails supply/distribution planning and execution activities for assigned portfolio. This position requires daily interaction with BD's planning systems and manages the overall product end to end supply chain to successfully maximize customer service while optimizing inventory and operating costs.  Frequent interaction with functions across the regional and global supply chain is required.  The network planner will also support key priorities as identified by business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory replenishment from factory/ports to Distribution Centers (DC) and stock balancing between DC’s (shuttles)

  • Inventory deployment and capacity plans to ensure proper flow of finished goods across the product supply chain for assigned portfolio

  • Take a lead role in using SAP/SNP to fullest extent in support of daily planning activities, including active management of SKUs on allocation.

  • Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding back-order recovery and anticipated product receipts.  Lead role in customer responses for supply timings, coordinating with customer service.

  • Work closely and coordinate efforts with Quality Assurance, Supply and Demand Planning, Warehousing and Transportation

  • Manage inventory levels across DC network, monitor and mitigate risks to product availability

  • Assist monthly Excess & Obsolete Provision process, including leading conversation with commercial teams to minimize future financial liabilities

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or another related discipline.

  • 0 - 2 years of professional planning experience which could include: inventory, supply chain management, production planning, distribution and logistics, shipping and receiving, or forecasting.

  • Work experience within medical device manufacturing industry a plus

  • Must have proven experience working in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Previous experience using an MRP system (SAP/SNP strongly preferred)

  • APICs certification a plus

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel, SAP, SAP SNP and APO-DP (preferred) or other MRP System)

  • Ability to pass pre-screening test case and knowledge check

  • Excel skills to include ability to create spreadsheets and perform advanced formulas and functions

  • Pro-active /self-starter

  • Team player – excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

  • Very strong organizational skills

  • Data driven & hands-on approach
