Job Description Summary

The role of the Senior Product Manager is to develop, co-ordinate and deliver marketing programs and manage all operation aspect of a product range that directly contribute to the achievement of budgeted sales, gross profit and OIBT targets for the Specimen Management Portfolio, ANZ.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the strategic direction of ANZ Specimen Management product portfolio in alignment with Region and Worldwide strategy to deliver revenue, profitability and market share objectives for the portfolio

  • Identifying market opportunities, collect relevant market data, generate intelligence reports, and create and implement strategies and tactics to allow the company to effectively differentiate its technology and organization from the competition to drive the revenue growth and market share gains.

  • All new product launches for Specimen Management portfolio aligned with Regional and Global business objectives

  • Forecasting, pricing, inventory management and business plans for the portfolio

  • Budgeting planning, financial projections and active participation in the annual strategic review cycles

  • Create marketing collateral and effective sales tools to support tactics and overall strategy for the portfolio.

  • Develop and implement of the KOL and Professional Education strategy for the portfolio  

  • Undertake field travel activities to positively contribute to account, regional and state level business outcomes. Makes regular customer field visits to maintain product expertise and market knowledge

  • Build positive working relationships with key external and internal customers, working cross-functionally with Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, Regulatory and other teams to achieve business objectives.

  • Play an active role in coaching other marketing team members with varying experience levels in marketing, in-line with the BD way of marketing programs.

  • Ensure that all activities are consistent with the BD core values and comply with relevant industry association codes, relevant acts, legal demands, and regulatory and ethical standards.

Required knowledge and experience:

  • Degree qualified in Business, Marketing or related field

  • Minimum of 6 years in product and/or marketing management

  • Marketing experience in Life science, Medtech or FMCG (Essential)

  • Demonstrated forecasting and analytical experience (Eseential)

  • Demonstrated people management and leadership skills

  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder engagement (Essential)

  • Demonstrated success in customer advocacy development

  • Ability to research, analyse, interpret and maximise the use of market intelligence

  • Demonstrated experience in the development of portfolio strategies.

  • Demonstrated success in driving a project through the process of concept development, co-ordination, implementation and evaluation.

  • Demonstrated process development and management skills

  • Problem solving ability and demonstrated examples of innovative solutions.

  • Highly organised and agile
