Job Description Summary
The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for the leadership and execution of the Supply Chain Planning functions, supporting all BDX Business Units operating within ANZ. This includes sponsoring, monitoring, reviewing and improving the Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, as well as overseeing the management, control and optimisation of all finished goods inventory within ANZ. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead a Team of Supply Chain Planners, who work closely with Business Units (BUs) to maintain an optimal balance between Customer Service Levels and Inventory, while achieving business objectives. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will be part of the ANZ Supply Chain Leadership Team and play a key role in the deployment of the ANZ and Greater Asia Region (GAR) Supply Chain strategies.
Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement of BD Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) processes within ANZ including, monitoring SIOP adherence, providing best practice advice and guidance, measuring and monitoring maturity levels and leading continuous improvement activities.
Facilitate the consolidated SIOP process for the ANZ Business, including presenting the consolidated demand reconciliation for ANZ in Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meetings, highlighting gaps to budget, assumptions and action plans.
Monitor, analyse and review supply chain KPIs, identify gaps, risks and opportunities and work with the ANZ supply chain functions, BUs and GAR Supply Chain Team to implement improvements actions.
Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained within all ANZ stocking locations. This includes leading inventory management and optimisation activities across all ANZ plants and consignment locations, as well as supporting minimum inventory requirements in accordance with any customer contractual commitments.
Maintain oversight of ANZ inventory and provide management reporting on aggregated BD inventory levels, including monthly reporting on Excess & Obsolete Inventory (E&O), as well as steering action plans to mitigate E&O and other inventory related business risks.
Collaboration with GAR Supply Chain Planning and BU Leadership Teams to manage and support demand alignment and reconciliations, supply allocations and SIOP inputs.
Maintain, develop and grow BD ANZ planning capability in BD’s planning systems and processes, including maintaining a strong local network of Planning Super Users.
Leadership responsibilities for 6 x Direct Reports. and 8 x Indirect Reports.
Skills and Experience required:
Minimum 5+ years experience leading a large supply chain planning team with a Global business (Essential)
Experience implementing/enhancing IBP practices
Highly developed data analytics and digital skillset.
Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to develop strong relationships with people at all levels, both internally and externally and across multiple geographies.
Strong organisational and planning skills including the ability to prioritise and organise workflow.
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.
Extremely self motivated, independent and resilient.
Experience in supply chain planning functions using SAP
Preferred requirements:
Healthcare industry experience
Lean Continuous Improvement skills and/or relevant industry certification
Experience in leading new business and/or system integrations
Relevant Qualifications
Relevant tertiary education (e.g. Bachelor level degree in Supply Chain/Procurement or similar).
