We are looking for a Senior Staff level Electrical Engineer with a thorough understanding of digital and analog development, with an emphasis on digital design. You should have extensive experience in data acquisition systems with FPGAs for high-speed data acquisition and digital signal processing, as well as microcontroller development. You will act as a product architect and provide high quality and innovative solutions to a wide range of challenging problems and contributing to the completion of design projects.Job Description

Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
This position is hybrid, which includes being onsite 4 days per week (155 N McCarthy Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035).
Actively participate in the new product development efforts from concept to implementation.
Drive circuit and hardware design phases including architecture and design, component selection, schematic entry, board bring-up and integration of complex printed circuit board assemblies into life sciences-based instrumentation.
Perform HyperLynx simulation to ensure digital signal integrity. Perform Spice simulation of analog circuitry.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, architecture, and design specifications
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in digital design and development.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; MSEE Preferred.
Minimum 15 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer designing high speed digital circuitry on complex high-density printed circuit board assemblies including processors and microcontrollers and high-density FPGAs.
Proven track record leading small teams of design engineers to successfully complete design deliverables

Tools:
Altium, ORCAD, DX Designer, Siemens AMS or equivalent, Spice, Signal and Power Integrity modeling tools, HyperLynx, Models and libraries for simulations.
Design practices:
Great understanding of Product life cycle management and DFx.
Assets:
Strong digital and analog circuit design background that includes FPGAs, microprocessors, high-speed data acquisition systems, system and board level simulation.
Strong design skills and tools for schematic capture and board layout and simulations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable working in a matrix team environment and under time pressures.
Strong problem analysis and solving skills.
