Product Manager - Specimen Acquistion and Blood Culture (Hybrid, 14-MONTH CONTRACT)

Job Description Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for the portfolio planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: understanding customer requirements, defining the product vision, setting strategy and working cross-functionally to ensure financial objectives and customer expectations are met.

Please note this will be a 14 month contract covering a maternity leave.

Lead the strategy development and own portfolio management of the acquisition platform within the specimen management platform in Canada, portfolio includes: Wingsets, Needles and Devices for line collections, Arterial Blood Gas Syringes and Blood Culture (capital + consumables)

  • Responsible for providing inputs into financial budgeting/forecasting and demand planning, and GP analyses

  • Responsible for the launch process for managed products lines, including completing launch plans, pricing, promotion, and ensuring regional readiness to launch

  • Responsible for identifying market trends, competition behaviors, and customer needs to maximize business opportunities and minimize potential threats

  • Developing value propositions that resonate with customers’ needs and incorporate customer centric messaging in marketing activities

  • Developing and executing against annual marketing plan and long-term strategic plans to respond to the needs of the Canadian market

  • Support and participation in sales planning, opportunity management and customer engagements

  • Responsible for ensuring that the Canadian sales team has appropriate tools, training and support required to enable sales and actively participate in sales presentations when requested.

  • Developing and maximizing relationships with the global platform to ensure Canadian needs are met and to provide input for new product developments

  • Driving market development activities, including development of a strong Key Opinion Leader (KOL) network

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Ability to interact optimally with all management levels

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines, set priorities and follow through

  • Strong Organization Skills and Ambitious spirit

  • Bilingualism (English and French) an asset

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor degree

  • 3 years+ sales and marketing experience within the healthcare industry

  • Marketing and product launch experience
