Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
The Purchasing Assistant manages/supervises different records related to the Product Suppliers, such
as specifications, purchase orders and others specified here.
Assures that the supplier receives the current specification and spec card within 72 hours of release
from document control.
Assures that the spec letter file is maintained with the current revision.
Notifies the Buyer if the supplier does not return the spec card within 30 days of issuance.
Supervises research for FDA debarred supplier web site to assure Bard is not using a debarred supplier
by notifying the respective Buyer.
Maintains the raw material active supplier list with current contact names.
Assist the Buyers.
Is the primary contact with suppliers for transactions relating to management of specifications.
Expert with the Microsoft Office software.
Assists the Buyer with supplier relationship items.
Serves as Administrative Assistant when appropriate.
Supervises, acts as a linkage with Division regarding to revisions/additions for vendors.
Supervises, acts as a compliance coordinator regarding to internal, corporate, and external audits.
Assists US Finance Department in activities related to SOX and 1099 (U.S. suppliers) audits.
Responsible and intermediary with Division to collect SBA annual exercise data (supplier business size
classifications i.e.: small, large, etc.) related to raw material suppliers.
Education and Experience:
Professional Education in an Administrative Career, Engineering or Computing preferably.
1 year experience preferably in office work.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to work with multiple priorities.
Ability to conduct and attend meetings completely in English.
Communication skills.
Ability to file records.
Career inherent.
Language Skills: Beginner
