As part of the end-to-end logistic process and organization, the Outbound team leader is responsible for:

1. The organization of the day-to-day operational workload for the Outbound team
2. Building and maintaining a strong team, while focusing on individual development and growth of all team members. Training and coaching playing an important role in this.
3. the follow-up and reporting on Outbound KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and the efficient communication with stakeholders.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Attend the regular meetings with the Warehouse planning team to determine the Outbound planning and to follow-up on prioritization.

  • Monitoring and maintaining the balance between the available resources and the planned/expected workload. Planning the resourcing in close cooperation with the Resourcing & Training Specialist and the Operations Manager.

  • Daily overall follow-up and alignment with the Outbound Senior operators on the advancement of the planned shipments and other related processes.

  • Act as a back-up for the Outbound Senior Operator

  • Create a positive, constructive atmosphere and motivate people

  • Connect with all team members on performance and development (assure there is a development plan for key operational talents and connect regularly with the Resourcing & Training Specialist on the Skill Matrix.

  • Act as a first point of contact for your team members with regards to people management topics, and escalate/collaborate with the correct stakeholders.

  • Perform the PMP (Performance Management Process): collecting feedback, writing PMP and conducting evaluations

  • Take up an active role in the BD Excellence Program (BDPS) and motivate team members to do so.

  • Attend the regular planning, operational and coordination meetings

  • Prepare and assure a qualitative Shift Start Up, looping feedback/questions to the correct stakeholders

  • Assure completion of KPI’s and metrics on a daily basis, avoid and escalate deviations if they occur

About you

  • Bachelor level or equivalent

  • Proven insight/experience in logistic/warehouse planning

  • CEFR English level A2 or equivalent

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel

  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Power point

  • Reach truck certificate is a plus

  • System savviness & knowledge of WMS workings

  • Knowledge of Operations procedures and working instructions

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Good collaboration & communication skills

  • Good balance of acting both agile / profound

  • Ability to work against deadlines
