Teamleader Outbound Europe Distribution Center in Dayshift from 10 am to 6 pm.
As part of the end-to-end logistic process and organization, the Outbound team leader is responsible for:

The organization of the day-to-day operational workload for the Outbound team
Building and maintaining a strong team, while focusing on individual development and growth of all team members. Training and coaching playing an important role in this.
The follow-up and reporting on Outbound KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) and the efficient communication with stakeholders.

About the role

As part of the end-to-end logistics process and organization, the Outbound Team Leader is responsible for the organization of the day-to-day operational workload for the Outbound team. This role focuses on building and maintaining a strong team, while fostering individual development and growth of all team members through training and coaching.

The Outbound Team Leader also ensures the follow-up and reporting on Outbound Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and efficient communication with stakeholders. The Outbound Team Leader reports to the Operations Manager.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Attend regular meetings with the Warehouse planning team to determine the Outbound planning and follow-up on prioritization.
  • Supervise and maintain the balance between available resources and the planned/encouraged workload. Plan resourcing in close cooperation with the Resourcing & Training Specialist and the Operations Manager.
  • Conduct daily overall follow-up and alignment with the Outbound Senior Operators on the advancement of planned shipments and related processes.
  • Act as a back-up for the Outbound Senior Operator.
  • Connect with all team members on performance and development, ensuring a development plan for key operational talents and regular collaboration with the Resourcing & Training Specialist on the Skill Matrix.
  • Act as the first point of contact for team members regarding people management topics and escalate/collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform the Performance Management Process (PMP): collecting feedback, writing PMP, and conducting evaluations.
  • Attend regular planning, operational, and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare and ensure a qualitative Shift Start Up, looping feedback/questions to the accurate stakeholders.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Proven insight/experience in logistics/warehouse planning.
  • Proficient in Dutch and English
  • Good knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Reach truck certificate is a plus.
  • System savviness & knowledge of WMS workings.
  • Knowledge of Operations procedures and working instructions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong collaboration & communication skills.
