Key responsibilities will include:
Responsible for the activities of the Government Pricing Center of Excellence, including coordination and governance with pricing analysts from various Business Units (BUs).
Establish a process that efficiently handles Government pricing and aligns with commercial operations practices.
Regularly assess the pricing for the base business throughout BDX.
Track pricing activity consistently and deliver monthly reports to leadership.
Verify that pricing adheres to the requirements of all Federal agreements and maintains compliance with ceiling and floor pricing standards across BDX.
Collaborate with internal teams to handle quotes, orders, and pricing, while entering prices in ERP systems. Ensure distributor chargebacks and sales tracings align with pricing policies.
Provide quotes using established government pricing and collaborate with Business Units for prices on non-awarded items.
Implement governance for ERP system government pricing agreements to ensure standardization and alignment of contract pricing.
Support Commercial Sales Practice and Fee Payment contract activities
Support tracking customer pricing activities to include compliance requirements and tracking customer identification.
Pinpoint opportunities for contract price adjustments within BDX and coordinate efforts to act on these opportunities.
Examine terms and conditions to ensure adherence to reporting objectives specified in Government contracts.
Work closely with the Government Contract and Operations Group (GCOG) leadership team to develop pricing strategies. Assess potential risks associated with these strategies and address any internal operational needs. Act as the main communicator on pricing issues to the Business Units.
Maintain GCOG Pricing SharePoint Site and national contract pricing files
Process and maintain pricing agreements across BDX ERP systems to include new contract awards, courtesy agreements, and agreement governance
Ensure compliance to SOX controls associated with pricing agreements and contract award processes
Coordinate and align government membership impacting eligible contracts and ERP system pricing agreements.
Coordinate with internal business partners on data requirements for pricing modifications to include monitor status until approved and post award activities.
Coordinate with the Federal Contracting Team on competitive bid/RFPs with responsibility for pricing strategy and compliance, economic price adjustments, and Commercial Sales Practice support.
About you: To be successful in this role, you require:
Minimum BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field required with 5 years of strategic pricing, or without Bachelor degree, 10+ years extensive experience in the applicable area preferred.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, capable of converting data into practical insights.
Proven track record of presenting data to end users through various tools, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Power BI, Salesforce, SharePoint, and MS Office applications.
Knowledge of the contract lifecycle to ensure pricing compliance via policy creation.
Must be able to swiftly build credibility, trust, and support across all levels of the organization.
Excellent communication skills are essential. Candidate should be able to create, present, and justify ideas and strategies to internal leaders and stakeholders, as well as influence and work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to travel, up to ~20%.
