Warehouse Worker (Nights)
Job Description Summary
Position will be required to perform all warehouse replenishment roles and inventory functions, cycle counts, and ensure warehouse safety, security and quality processes are followed. Required to operate all material handling equipment, such as Forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, turret trucks, etc. Moves stock and rotates materials according to FIFO. Load and unload trucks. Participate in shift start up meetings, continuous improvement activities, 5S cleaning.Shift: 12 hour rotating night shift (6PM-6AM). Scheduled to work 7-days in a 14-day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2off, 3 on, 2 off - every other weekend is scheduled off)

Shift: 12 hour rotating night shift (6PM-6AM). Scheduled to work 7-days in a 14-day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2off, 3 on, 2 off - every other weekend is scheduled off)

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive raw materials or finished goods product, using computer software systems. Retrieve packing slip or product transfer record from incoming materials. Verify quantity, part number, P.O. number and vendor lot number against packing slip or product transfer record. Verify freight BOL and note any damages or shortages.
- Accurately perform responsibilities for team members in times of absence or vacation.
- Operate all material handling equipment such as propane and electric forklifts, stretch wrappers, electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.
- Accurately perform warehouse cycle counts, process returned raw material, preform replenishment functions
- Prepare substitute packing slips if necessary.
- Accurately perform build function for materials received using Datalan system and Kanban cards.
- Moves stock and rotates materials according to FIFO for incoming and outgoing material.
- Arrange material in the warehouse as per KanBan bin requirements. Replenishes departments using Scanners and KanBan system.
- Prepare outbound shipments, verify quantities, lot numbers and part numbers to be shipped, document on load sheet, prepare pallets with slip-sheets, stretch wrap and load, calculating correct cube and weights.
- Properly package outbound packages for shipment to prevent damage and loss.
- Accurately perform shipment and reciept transactions in inventory management systems.(SAP, Datalan) and 3rd party software (FedEx, UPS, Etc)
- Responsible for ensuring shift goals are met (5S, Returns, Kanban cards scanned and sorted).
- Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous waste regulations.
- Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles. (safety, security, housekeeping and quality etc).
- Communicate in an effective, timely, and appropriate manner to all associates (i.e. peers, support teams and management) including raising issues.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, lean lite, KAS, etc.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum Experience:
- Experience in Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics.
- Must be able to become licensed Forklift operator and, maintain equipment certification at all times.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Previous forklift experience/certification
Basic Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities, projects.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and with others.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and in a fast paced environment.
The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.
