Job Description Summary

In this position, the Marketing Manager influences the development and drives the execution of regional marketing strategies related to Acute Care portfolio and Foley Alternatives ( Purewick +), to accelerate market opportunity and the business objectives. The position establishes and maintains a strong regional competitive position through the identification of marketing opportunities. The incumbent routinely interfaces with cross-functional resources including: other Marketing associates, Finance, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and R&D.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manages all aspects of the Regions’ Acute Care and Alternative Foley marketing plans to achieve financial/budget expectations by creating metrics to analyze and drive growth in different segments and product line strategies.

2. Manage regional marketing activities and related budget supporting BDI assigned platform, teams, and product management including:

  • Market Development Activities – Driving Regional/ Global HCP Education programs, KOL Roadshows, Regional Speaker Sessions, Clinical Conventions
  • Market research – market size, market share- employs marketing research tools or through individual effort
  • Market sensing – customer needs, requirements
  • Environment – trends, competitors
  • Pricing – per product per market per segment
  • Marketing communications – advertising, promotions, e-marketing
  • Tactical marketing mixes to maximize the go-to-market in the region

3. Creates business cases for new regional opportunities, and engages with the global and applicable country teams.

4. Provide segment expertise to product management to improve sales.

5. Leads and owns the demand review process for the region for assigned product lines.

6. Accountable for demand management by developing recommendations on product sales forecasts and production inventory issues.

7. Guides countries through successful product launches.

8. Acts as a mentor to business leaders/sales leaders in smaller markets and marketing teams in larger markets.

9. Meets all marketing work-stream deliverables as required in BD Global Product Development Process, when applicable.

10. Accountable for working with global, regional, and country marketing counterparts to develop and execute a regional strategy to ensure the achievement of financial/ budget expectations.

Our Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, preferably with a regional exposure
  • Minimum 7+ years of pharma/medical devices industry experience
  • Experience with market or business development will be helpful
  • Cross functional team experience required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Approximately 50% travel
