Job Responsibilities
This is a regional marketing role for the largest business within Medical Segment (MDS), providing marketing leadership and guidance to 6 country commercial teams with diverse opportunities and challenges - Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines. A combination of developing the regional marketing strategy and also leading the country-level execution of the strategy
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Regional marketing leader supporting the business to achieve and surpass sales, profitability and related business goals and objectives for MDS (business includes 8 key portfolios)
- Develop and iterate marketing plans for MDS which include new product launches, product lifecycle management, go-to-market strategies, tactics, demand forecast, and pricing strategy per Corporate’s guidance
- Create business cases for new opportunities within the region, engage with the GA and applicable country teams
- Create and drive market shaping and market development initiatives to accelerate conversions and project wins
- Assist with establishing partnerships with KOLs, academic institutions, patient advocacy groups, etc.
- Collaborate closely with country commercial teams and GA regional team to develop and execute SEA region and country specific strategies
- Ensure smooth execution of marketing plans through close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, key customers and distributors
- Organise and co-ordinate all aspects of product promotional campaigns and / or participation in 3rd party conferences (SEA led regional programs or work closely with country teams on execution)
- Measure effectiveness of marketing plan and campaigns, and pivot accordingly
Market Knowledge:
- Possesses thorough understanding of SEA region healthcare policies, and industry and market macrotrends which would impact market access and marketing strategy
- Acquire / demonstrate excellent knowledge and understanding of competitive landscape, patient journey, stakeholder mapping, buying process required to inform marketing strategy and thereby achieve sustainable profitability
- Conduct or acquire market research for relevant data and information required to validate marketing initiatives
Reporting & Forecasting:
- Participate in monthly SEA MORs, monthly Country Project Update Meetings, budgeting and forecasting process
- Champion SFDC usage and track opportunities
- Manage and optimize resource allocation i.e., assigned expense budget for marketing activities for focus countries and products
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Marketing or industry-related discipline (MBA is an advantage)
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in marketing with minimum 4 years’ marketing experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, demonstrating strategic thinking and successful implementation of marketing strategies
- Having regional experience and matrix organizational experience is preferred
- Experience working with sales/distributors and / or digital marketing would be an advantage
- Possesses strong business acumen and excellent presentation skills (both oral and written)
- Possesses strong drive to succeed, reflected by proven track record
- Growth mindset, strong customer focus and relationship management skills at senior levels
- Able to undertake at least 40% travel
