Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational teams to understand cost drivers and variances on plant financial performance. Train product line owners in understanding key financial concepts to drive business and operational goals.
- Responsible for the review of detailed financial performance and submission (monthly, quarterly, year-end, ASR (Annual Strategy Review), and budget) and provide insightful reports to support business decisions.
- Lead the annual budget process and cost roll up, including the preparation of standard product cost development, budgeted variances, cost center budgeting, headcount requirements, volume analysis and raw material pricing analysis.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external customers and gain their understanding, cooperation, and respect.
- Act as enabler to Plant Leadership team to have clear line of sight of their product line impact to the Plant performance.
- Seek continuous improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes so that the information adds value to the operations and decision makers.
- Foster a strong team and members to excel in their areas of responsibilities, provide coaching and challenging goals.
- Responsible for the submission of quarterly projections, ASR (Annual Strategy Review), and budget in Business Planning and Consolidation tool.
- Develop & maintain adequate and effective internal controls to ensure integrity of financials and comply with Finance Policy and SOX 404 requirements.
- Act as a catalyst for change to respond appropriately to business goals.
- Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD, and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance with our safety guidelines and SOPs.
Key Competencies & Requirements
- An Accountancy degree or professionally qualified, with 3-5 years or more relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced proficiency in MS Excel skills.
- Strong system knowledge of SAP, Business Planning and Consolidation tool (BPC) & excellent grasp of manufacturing process & its impact on financial processes. Has led projects involving inter department associates.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work in a team with other financial/accounting staff.
