Job Description Summary

BD is seeking a Pricing Specialist UKI to join our dynamic team based in Winnersh!

The UKI Pricing team implements and maintains correct pricing for all customers across all BD business units (BDX) in the UK & Ireland and ensures that all pricing offered follows the correct approval process. The interactions the team has with both internal and external stakeholders focus on all aspects of the pricing implementation and maintenance process and are designed to ensure the successful and speedy transaction of customer orders across BDX, thus enabling BD UKI to deliver profitable sales and embed outcomes-based solutions for customers and patients alike.

The primary purpose of the ‘Pricing Specialist UKI’ role is to directly apply and use well-developed knowledge of pricing approval, implementation and maintenance processes and will actively manage pricing agreements, take the lead in coordinating all activities within the pricing approval, implementation and maintenance processes and manage all stakeholders to ensure the successful approval, implementation and maintenance of all pricing agreements.

As ‘Pricing Specialist UKI’, you will be flexible to the needs of the business and meet the goals of the organization. You will work with quotations to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. You will maintain an accurate and up to date price database of Customers and Products and set up pricing on the company’s ERP system via advanced pricing agreements and awarded tenders, in line with approval guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

Price Implementation

  • To be the subject matter expert for salesforce price implementation process
  • To align and manage all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful approval, implementation and maintenance of all pricing agreements
  • Proactively address challenges that may impact the smooth execution and price availability in the ERP system
  • Run Price Reports in a timely manner as required
  • Investigate and resolve price discrepancies on received POs
  • Create and provide data analysis for pricing files, Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous

List Price Updates

  • To ensure UKI customer list prices are updated in the relevant system before go-live as advised by the business

Customer Price Queries

  • Ensure all customer price queries are resolved in a timely manner to avoid order delays
  • Take ownership of completing customer catalogue requests and updating pricing portals
  • Complete Customer price reports to support business deals

Continuous improvement

  • Escalate gaps or process improvement opportunities and review and amend relevant SOPs
  • Build a picture of the business from a price implementation perspective building a stakeholder and communication plan
  • Have a growth mindset to perform other duties as required by the business

About you:

  • Experience in pricing (or similar commercial) roles, ideally gained in a healthcare setting (an understanding of the NHS procurement processes a plus)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining pricing related processes and SOPs
  • Experience in successfully managing groups of diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in all key MS Office applications and Salesforce, experience with SharePoint desirable
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent desirable
