Job Description Summary

Production Manager will have overall ownership of production, processes, and people included in the respective Manufacturing Unit and will be fully responsible to deliver upon SQDC targets, to eliminate losses in the area through BD Excellence and to grow the capability of the team. This role has responsibility for the designated product line including setting goals, making decisions, and driving accountability toward department objectives in the designated Manufacturing Unit. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values.

To oversee all aspects of the manufacturing in areas including bottle production and Flush production. Manages utilization of equipment, facilities, inventory and personnel to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives. Maintaining, developing, and mentoring the manufacturing team will be a key to meeting performance objectives. Establish the production team meet commercial production demanding, including talent developing, knowledge transfer and talent pool reserve. Guide production team closely working with QA, EHS and RA, to ensure the compliance of local regulation and BD policy.

6.Coordinates the establishment and communication of challenging SQDC goals.  Translates manufacturing unit targets into lines / areas / workplaces and ensures that each associate understands what is expected from them with documented individual, specific and measurable targets.

7.Initiates and drives change to ensure that short and long term SQDC goals for the lines / areas under responsibility are being met.

8.Resolves issues in the line and for the manufacturing unit in a timely manner, while displaying servant leadership. Manages the team in line with BD values.

9.Runs the TMS cycle for the lines/areas and sets the 24-hour direction for the manufacturing unit;

10.Does yearly performance reviews of the team and ensures every individual has an active development plan in place and does regular 1:1s with each team member to review performance and help them to grow.

11.With PM team together to create of TPM work processes (e.g., CIL, CL etc.)

12.Facilitates BD Excellence implementation within the manufacturing unit.

13.Collaborate with Logistics to establish production schedules, monitor delivery performance versus schedule.

14.Ensures regular, timely, and accurate assessments of hourly associates are delivered through coaching activities.

15.Works with associates to resolve issues and concerns; involves HR when needed.

17.Spends more than 50% of the time on the production floor overseeing activities within the manufacturing unit.

18.Supervises employees in the area day-to-day manufacturing and product storage complied with approved product process, GMP requirement and BD existing SOP system. Ensure the team strictly follow related BD WI.

19.Responsible for hiring (with HR input), training, performance evaluation and discipline of employees supervised.

20.Maintains a variety of production records and documents to reflect schedules, performance and procedures. All procedures and records also must comply with GMP requirement. And product manufacturing records will be written correctly in time and handed over to QA after reviewing by authorized person.

21.Ensure the process, equipment and facility to be validated/qualified as our process requirement and its sustaining validation/qualification.

22.Develop and monitor appropriate training for production team, in consistent with company and regulatory guidelines. To ensure all production associate be trained before start job.

23.Ensure that all personnel perform in a safe manner and that an accident free environment is maintained.

24.Provide leadership essential to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing.

25.Performs other duties as may be required by supervisor.
