Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for inventory related functions including cycle counts execution and process ownership, inventory replenishment system set-up and monitoring. Will assist on assigning stock locations in our warehouse. The Inventory Control Clerk will also be responsible for analysis of our ERP system transactions involving inventory control.
Additionally, and as needed, will support the warehouse team in receiving, pulling parts for jobs, shipping of goods. This position reports directly to the Materials and Purchasing Manager.
Responsibilities:
Perform inventory related functions including cycle count execution, discrepancy investigations and overall process ownership
Assist on the assignment of stock locations in the warehouse based on item type, size, and priority
Conduct periodic audits to the replenishment system to ensure accurate inventory levels and identify any discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all inventory-related transactions using appropriate software or systems
Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to inventory management
Recommend strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste
Additional Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments and verify order details against packing slips or purchase orders
Organize incoming items and prepare them for storage
Pick, pack and ship customer orders according to production schedules
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
Experience working with ERP systems (Preferably MFG Pro or JDE)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of basic math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Familiarity with warehousing processes and procedures
