The Supply Chain team are responsible to bringing billions of life-saving medical devices and diagnostics tests, high-tech instruments and equipment to customers and patients all over the world. Our aim is deliver these products at an affordable cost and of the highest quality.

About the role

Reporting to the Global Transportation Manager, you will support logistics operational implementation of new international transportation lanes including project management of new carrier implementation. You will be responsible with a variety of pre-scoped initiatives for execution and liaise with global, regional, or local collaborators for implementation.

Main responsibilities will include:

Implementation of new or existing carriers with identified sites (manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers, External Vendors)

  • Coordinating carriers and internal stakeholders on operational processes

  • Aligning service level agreements

  • SOP Drafting with support of carrier and local operational stakeholders

  • Reporting status in shared implementation file

In addition to the above tasks, for implementation of new carriers

  • Support in the account creation of new carriers (collecting relevant information, coordinating with country-level account creation teams)

  • Coordinating EDI connectivity set-up with the new carriers and internal BD IT Teams.

About you

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • Ocean Shipping:Experience with containerized ocean shipping, especially exports.

  • Air & Parcel Operations:Basic knowledge of heavy-air and parcel shipping.

  • Weight Calculations:Understanding of volumetric weight calculations.

  • Incoterms:Familiarity with Incoterms.

  • Distribution:Basic knowledge of finished goods distribution.

  • Project Management:Experience with project management.

  • Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ambiguity Tolerance:Ability to handle complex problems and uncertainty.

  • Financial Skills:Proficiency in cost reporting and business case development.

  • Software Skills:Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint).
