Global Marketing Manager - Hybrid

Job Description Summary

As part of the overall growth strategy of BD’s Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) business unit, this key marketing role focuses on the Catheter Care platform - one of the largest businesses within MDS. The role is accountable for the achievement of strategic marketing objectives including, but not limited to, acting as a marketing lead for key initiatives to increase gross profit and capture value, driving growth of the business through upgrading clinical practice, being a liaison to regional marketing counterparts and meeting/exceeding global business targets for the Catheter Care platform. This role influences the development and drives the execution of global and regional Catheter Care marketing plans. This role provides input into product line-related business decisions and resource planning.  Demonstrates marketing expertise through specific and advanced set of skills and knowledge. Contributes to the definition and refinement of global product planning and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the marketing core team lead on key cross-functional projects to maximize gross profit, increase penetration, and optimize our competitive and Go To Market approaches and efforts

  • Acts as a global marketing lead for key regions, ensuring achievement of business targets and facilitating market development efforts within regions

  • Responsible for Demand Governance across the platform to ensure consistent supply and capacity planning.  Serves as key liaison with all regions to proactively identify and resolve potential supply issues to deliver outstanding customer service

  • Identifies key growth opportunities globally through close collaboration with regions to update and analyze data regarding market, competitive, and business trends

  • Leads tender contract management in key regions which involves working with country and regional teams to manage customer offers and negotiations and ensure they align with Catheter Care’s strategy

  • Partners with global marketing team to develop educational tools, programs and training to drive solution selling and clinical practice upgrades from manual to pre-filled flush syringes.  Develops budget impact tools and case studies that help to drive clinical practice upgrades

  • Leads the development of a market assessment, business case and go to market strategies to enter the non-acute / home health care segment; a segment anticipated to drive significant incremental revenue growth in the next 5+ years for the Catheter Care Platform

Required knowledge and experience   

  • Minimum of 3 years of business experience in the life science industry

  • Minimum of 3 years in product and/or market management

  • Business experience may include marketing, sales, sales training, business development

  • Minimum: bachelor’s degree, MBA highly preferred

  • Experience in Market Planning, Competitive Analysis, Pricing Strategy, Customer Insights/Analytics, Market Opportunity Assessment and Segmentation, and Go to Market and Commercialization strategies

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and implementation skills; proven analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable marketing and business strategies and plans

  • Ability to develop comprehensive business cases with detailed financial analysis

  • Action oriented with demonstrated ability to drive results

  • Exhibits effective interpersonal communication skills, and can work internationally with diverse cultures.  Previous experience working with international teams is a plus

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities

  • Ability to travel nationally and globally; 15-20%
