Supply Planning Manager
Job Description Summary
The role will be responsible for developing & executing plans to meet demand requirements while minimizing inventory levels and optimizing service. This person will have direct responsibility for planning of assigned businesses/products and also support broader supply chain initiatives as needed. Responsibilities:
Developing, implementing, monitoring and maintaining production schedules and capacity plans based on sales forecasts, historical data and product life cycle information.
Partnering closely with commercial operations, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics and finance teams to ensure operational excellence in all aspects of supply chain management including but not limited to inventory control, shipping accuracy, on time delivery, etc.
Overseeing global supply planning processes for assigned products or business units.
Managing master data and shortage reporting for assigned products.
Identifying and driving resolution of root causes of supply disruptions through appropriate communication channels.
Supporting strategic sourcing and supplier development efforts by providing input into supplier selection and assessment process.
Collaborating with cross functional team members to implement corrective actions and improvements related to supply chain performance.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned products/business units and presenting results at relevant internal meetings.
Driving continuous improvement projects focused on improving service, reducing costs and increasing efficiency across the end-to-end supply chain.
Providing training and mentoring to junior staff members within the department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years of progressively more responsible work experience in supply chain management with proven track record of successfully managing complex supply chains.
Strong knowledge of SAP system and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders.
