Job Description Summary
The Clinical Education Consultant provides a world-class customer education experience through the consultation, creation, and delivery of BD Infusion product education. This implementation position serves as the BD Alaris™ System and Infusion products education subject matter expert. Demonstrated success in this role includes the ability to leverage IV therapy best-practices and BD products, apply a consultative skillset, and incorporate adult learning principles to positively impact adoption and clinical success during product/solution implementation and post-implementation activities. Position responsibilities include successful creation and delivery of product education, go-live activities, entitlement offerings, adherence to standardized work instructions, policies, and procedures, and providing an exceptional customer experience.Job Description

Overall responsibilities:
The overall responsibilities of the implementation Clinical Education Consultant include:
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical and business operations, products, and services.
Exercises professional accountability of relevant product education by attending discipline specific calls, proactively seeking updates, and participating in continuing education activities.
Maintains knowledge and demonstrates professional growth in areas of education delivery, proficiency, and adult learning.
Performs training curriculum and utilization of approved training tools.
Actively engages in go-live, post-implementation clinical rounds, and ongoing customer educational support.
Accountable to project implementation team, including project manager, clinical consultant, pharmacy consultant, and MPS.
Delivers concise and professional closed-loop communication with the customer.
Attends/Leads education centric implementation calls in support of project.
Ability to function in a highly regulated industry.
Skills, Duties and Tasks particular to the job:
Clinical Education Consultant
Communication
Facilitate education customer conference calls and customer meetings.
Leverage a consultative approach to customer education development and execution.
Establish rapport with customers that is conducive to long term business relationships.
Ability to manage customer teams, gain consensus, and deliver concise and consistent communication.
Support Field Trainer program through peer. mentorship, ensuring product proficiency and adherence to defined process.
Provide team and product support for BD Infusion products as assigned by manager.
Technical
Demonstrate competence of established BD Infusion product use according to published user manual.
Apply adult learning principles to teaching.
Demonstrate classroom management and facilitation skills.
Influence customer adoption and utilization of Infusion products and services.
Apply approved documents, tools, and resources ensuring compliance to process and work instructions.
Act as a customer support resource.
Knowledgeable with BD Infusion products.
Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications.
Qualifications:
Nursing Degree required
4-6 years of experience in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current active nursing license required.
Acute care hospital experience with EMR documentation system use required; Pediatric, NICU, or Oncology experience highly desired.
Knowledge of BD Alaris™ System a plus.
Driving requirements dictate that the candidate possess and maintain a valid driver license and be at least 21 years old.
Home based position with travel. Travel may range from 75 - 100%, overnight travel. Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. Ability to work independently from home office.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. This position may involve pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, and lifting.
Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and acquire additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform crucial job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, Covid-19.
Must meet vendor credential requirements for assigned customer sites.
