This role provides flexibility to work 4 days on site at our San Diego site and Friday remotely.

Responsibilities

• Key business partner support providing strategic financial guidance in conjunction with corporate guidance for Global R&D, VP of R&D, and VP of Portfolio Management.

• Lead Planning activities for Global R&D Function. Key activities include:

• Deliver detailed beneficial analysis interpreting, implementing financial concepts for accounting and guarantee the accuracy of the financial documents for the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business.

• Partner with R&D leadership to prepare the annual Budget and Strategic Plan for the global R&D with details (NPD, Sustaining, Admin, Capital) tying to the greater MMS strategic priorities.

• Drive a focus on quarterly forecast on monthly accuracy.

• Drive quantitative analysis for portfolio prioritization with areas of emphasis including financial modeling, financial and operational analysis and written and oral communication.

• Develops and publishes regular reporting to track results and progress against goals/critical metrics

Qualification and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required

• 8 years of experience in Financial Planning, Business Analytics, Controller, and/or financial analysis experience

• Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix structure, along business and functional dimensions.

• Proven finance business partner experience and leadership skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, finance principles and internal controls.

• Strong system/application skills: SAP, BPC, or other ERP Tools

• Advanced proficiency in Excel: creating and manipulating complex spreadsheets and ability to create reports from complicated database systems.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize logic, reasoning, and critical thinking in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
