About the role
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all production equipment at our manufacturing facility. This position will include troubleshooting and repairing automated machinery used in the manufacture of plastic and metal components for use in drug delivery systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical background knowledge of PLC controlled equipment as well as basic electrical and pneumatic system understanding. Must also be able to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining all production equipment at the facility

• Troubleshoot and repair automated machinery used in the manufacture of plastic and metal components for use in drug delivery systems

• Utilize a variety of hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment while working independently or on a team

• Read blueprints and technical drawings

• Assist in preventive maintenance efforts

• Perform other duties as assigned

About you
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who has experience in a similar position within a high paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of PLC controlled equipment and strong problem solving skills are required. Candidates must also possess good communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience / Skills:

• Previous machine shop/manufacturing experience preferred

• Experience with PLC controlled equipment

• Basic knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems

• Hydraulics / Pneumatics

• Blueprint reading

• Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend over, reach, push, pull and walk continuously throughout the day

• Strong communication skills
