Job Summary

The Manager, US Region Marketing is responsible for co-developing and executing a US regional strategy to meet financial and budget expectations by collaborating with global downstream and upstream marketing and sales teams. This role has a strong business operations focus and key duties include monitoring and reporting on sales metrics, identifying market growth opportunities, and working with supply chain, quality, and operations to ensure consistent supply and communication. The role also involves providing strategic support for new product launches, managing the lead lifecycle from MQL to SQL, and developing product sales forecasts. Building strong relationships with the sales organization and key customers, including physicians, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for working with global downstream and upstream marketing and sales leadership counterparts to develop and execute a US regional strategy to ensure achievement of financial/budget expectations.

  • Closely supervise and develop reporting/KPIs on leading indicators, sales metrics, wins and losses, price and GP and use this information to partner with downstream marketing on marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Find opportunities to increase market share through analysis of sales trends and competitor information.

  • Work closely with supply chain, finance, quality and operations partners to ensure consistent regional supply and communicate effectively to the sales organization in cases of backorder, portfolio changes or product quality issues and minimize scrapped product. Find opportunities to optimize processes and communications.

  • Provide strategic support to new product development teams on upcoming launches.

  • Handle the lead lifecycle from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and converted leads and provide recommendations to downstream marketing on how to improve lead generation.

  • Find opportunities for marketing to help accelerate each stage of the sales funnel and optimize product pricing.

  • Develop recommendations on product sales forecasts and production inventory forecasts.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales organization and key customers including physicians.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field required; M.B.A preferred

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in marketing, product management or portfolio management with a focus on healthcare or medical devices; experience supporting sales and/or supply chain preferred

  • Consistent record of leading successful projects, demonstrating strong leadership and influencing skills; experience optimizing commercial processes preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization 

  • Ability to effectively balance multiple challenging priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Confirmed ability to identify, prioritize, advocate for, and implement opportunities that drive growth or enhance business performance

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for decision-making including sophisticated Excel and PowerBI skills to analyze the portfolio

  • Ability to travel ~20%of the time

  • High integrity and ethics and strong fit with BD values

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
