Job Summary

As an IT Business Partner for WMS & Fulfillment at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), you will be a critical liaison between our IT department and key business stakeholders within our supply chain and operations. You will be responsible for understanding business needs related to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and fulfillment processes, translating those needs into IT requirements, and driving the successful implementation and optimization of technology solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across our global distribution network.

Act as the IT Business Partner for Manhattan WMOS within BD’s Supply Chain and Distribution ecosystem
Own the WMOS product roadmap, backlog prioritization, and release planning aligned with BD business priorities
Partner closely with Distribution Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Automation teams to deliver technology-enabled outcomes
Translate business requirements into functional designs, configurations, and system enhancements

Manhattan WMOS Delivery & Operations

Lead end-to-end delivery, enhancement, and support of Manhattan WMOS across BD distribution facilities
Support inbound, outbound, inventory, replenishment, waving, packing, staging, shipping, cross‑dock, and yard management processes
Configure and validate WMOS modules, extensions, interfaces, labels, and integrations
Ensure environment readiness across Development, Test, Lower, and Production‑like environments

Automation & Integration Leadership

Lead integration and coordination with warehouse automation and material handling systems, including:

Warehouse Control / Execution Systems (e.g., Bastian WES, Dematic, Autostore WCS)
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
ASRS, GTP, PTL, and automated packing solutions


Collaborate with vendors, system integrators, and internal architecture teams
Support integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, SCI, Digital Shipper, and carrier systems

Agile Delivery & Quality Assurance

Operate within Agile and hybrid delivery models consistent with BD IT practices
Own JIRA backlogs, sprint planning, Kanban boards, and release governance
Lead system testing strategies including:

Functional and integration testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Volume & Performance Testing (VPT)


Manage defect triage and resolution using JIRA and HP ALM

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

Provide senior-level functional support for WMOS production issues
Lead root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions
Support peak readiness, holiday volume testing, and DC simulation runs
Drive operational stability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement

Training, Documentation & Compliance

Support field readiness, SOP enablement, and user training during implementations and releases
Participate in on-site go‑lives and stabilization at RDCs and MECs
Maintain functional documentation, configuration records, SDNs, and system wikis
Ensure solutions meet BD MedTech quality, validation, and compliance standards


Required Qualifications
Experience

10+ years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems, with deep expertise in Manhattan WMOS
Demonstrated experience as an IT Product Manager, Product Owner, or IT Business Partner
Strong background supporting distribution, fulfillment, and supply chain operations
Experience working in regulated environments (MedTech, Pharma, Healthcare preferred)

Technical & Functional Skills

Expert functional knowledge of Manhattan WMOS configuration and testing
Experience with warehouse automation and system integrations
Strong SQL skills (Oracle / SQL Server) for analysis and troubleshooting
Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, HP ALM)
Knowledge of TMS, OMS, SCI, Digital Shipper, carrier integrations
