BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

Job Description

Ready to take on a global role where your decisions directly shape service levels, inventory performance, and supply continuity across multiple regions? Join us as a Global Supply Chain Planner, a key player supporting all aspects of the supply planning process for our SM Plymouth plant.

In this role, you will translate business strategy into actionable supply plans, ensuring product availability across our worldwide distribution network while balancing service, cost‑to‑serve, and inventory objectives. You will collaborate closely with regional teams, manufacturing sites, and global stakeholders to keep our supply chain running with precision and agility.

You will be responsible for ensuring the global supply of products to meet revenue, service, and inventory targets. You will manage the end‑to‑end supply plan, anticipate risks, and drive alignment across regions including the US, Canada, EMEA, LATAM, and CASAJ.

Your Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning

  • Build and manage a global supply plan for assigned products to maximize service levels and optimize working capital.

  • Translate business and inventory needs into clear supply requirements for all commercial regions.

  • Partner with regional planning teams to manage long‑term shortages, set multi‑echelon inventory targets, and support fair‑share allocation strategies.

Operational Management

  • Adjust purchase orders to ensure accurate supply visibility for regional teams.

  • Track shipments and ensure timely, compliant movement through the distribution network.

  • Propose and manage allocations in shortage scenarios using LOTS/SAP.

  • Expedite supply orders when needed.

  • Maintain accurate planning master data to support seamless information flow.

  • Collaborate with the plant on capacity, long‑term planning, product changes, and new product launches.

IBP & S&OE Facilitation

  • Lead monthly plant supply consensus meetings and contribute to Long‑Term Planning (LTP).

  • Collect and analyze data to support global allocation decisions.

  • Execute allocation plans and communicate supply responses to regional teams.

  • Lead S&OE meetings with the plant and regions, validating weekly volume changes and highlighting major variances.

  • Provide inventory projections based on global demand and production plans.

Business Performance Management

  • Achieve global KPIs including backorders, line fill, and inventory levels.

  • Support product launches from a supply chain perspective (stock build, shelf‑life management, etc.).

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost‑efficiency initiatives.

  • Coordinate with regional supply chain teams, warehouses, and transportation to optimize the distribution network.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations.

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning.

  • Strong SAP experience (APO, SCM DP/SP or similar). Kinaxis knowledge is a plus.

  • Advanced analytical skills in Excel and Power BI.

  • Proven experience in inventory management and network optimization.

  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

 Key Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem‑solving, listening, and analytical abilities.

  • Solid understanding of demand, supply, and transportation planning.

  • Customer‑centric mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • APICS certification is a plus.
