Position Summary: 

The Associate Product Manager for downstream willassistin developing and implementing strategic and tactical initiatives for a keyproduct and/ormarket segment on a global basis to help drive direction and growth. Demonstrates leadership within the Division Marketing department, takes an active role in day-to-day operations, andparticipatesin product development activities forproduct and/or marketsegmentresponsibility

Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal): 

  • Form relationships with and know keycustomers/distributorsand major buying groups.

  • Communicate with domestic sales force and global marketing entities (directly and through international marketing).

  • Identifyand communicate market trends to division management and internal “team.”

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing plans including strategic and technical components

  • Forecast sales volume, monthly and long-term.

  • Budget administration (promotional and expense).

  • Profit and loss responsibility for product line.

  • Identifyand develop marketing programs, salestoolsand promotions.

  • Assistin preparing Business Plans

  • Recommend product line modifications, extensions, newproductsand product deletions

  • Work with R&D to develop a strong portfolio of product development projects that support the strategic direction and grow the business as needed.

  • Take an active roleonproduct development teams asleaderor keyparticipant.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred

  • 2+ years experience working in a Product Manager or similar role required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including consultative and relationship management required

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills required

  • Experience working in, marketing, health-tech, or healthcare industry preferred

  • Understanding in tracking and interpreting market share, pricing, ASPs, competitive dynamics required

  • Substantial knowledge of marketing concepts and principles required

  • Ability to create comprehensive marketing strategies with supporting plans and the ability to execute.

  • Possess a clinical knowledge related to hospital environment, clinical practice and reimbursement policies preferred

  • Strict attention to detail and ability to be decisive in an often ambiguous environment

  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations across business units

  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple product lines

  • Ability to create and maintain Excel financial/forecast models to support business cases, market segment evaluations and commercial pathways for short-term and long-term initiatives

  • Ability to work in a team environment, working closely with global marketing team, key opinion leaders and regional sales teams

  • Action-oriented with demonstrated ability to drive results

  • Proven ability to work in high-paced environment and routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing
