Role Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager  – B2B EDI Delivery & Architect  The EDI & B2B Integration SolutionsLead, provides technical leadership and architectural oversight for enterprise B2B integration solutions, with a primary focus on OpenText EDI platforms.

This role is accountable for defining integration architecture, guiding solution design, and ensuring high‑quality execution across EDI, API, file‑based, and ERP integrations. The Lead partners closely with business, functional, and technical stakeholders to align integration solutions with business objectives while ensuring scalability, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to deep technical expertise, the role requires strong execution leadership—working with internal teams and external delivery partners to drive consistent delivery, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the B2B integration landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Serve as the technical lead and subject‑matter expert for B2B integration solutions within the EDI domain.
• Provide architectural leadership for OpenText B2B solutions, supporting:
  • EDI, API, and file‑based integrations
  • SAP IDoc integrations with SAP ECC and S/4HANA
  • File‑based integrations with JD Edwards,  SAP, and AS/400
• Own and produce conceptual, logical, and solution architectures, including integration design documents, data flows, and risk assessments.
• Ensure architectural decisions align with enterprise standards, integration strategy, and long‑term scalability.

Standards, Governance & Best Practices

• Define, promote, and enforce integration standards, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion industry best practices for EDI and integration architecture frameworks, tools, and communication protocols.
• Evaluate emerging integration technologies and market trends; make strategic recommendations aligned with business roadmaps.

Delivery & Execution Oversight

• Lead and support complex integration initiatives across multiple business units, ensuring alignment between architecture, design, and delivery.
• Partner with internal delivery teams to ensure smooth execution, issue resolution, and production readiness.
• Provide technical oversight of vendor execution, including solution design, implementation quality, and operational support.
• Monitor service levels and operational performance, ensuring alignment with business priorities and SLAs.

Operational Excellence & Enablement

• Develop, enhance, and leverage tools, accelerators, and reusable assets to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of integration delivery and support.
• Support operational troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for complex EDI and B2B integration issues.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into clear, actionable guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate brings a blend of hands‑on technical expertise, architectural leadership, and delivery oversight, with a strong solution‑oriented mindset.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of responsible experience within enterprise technology and integration roles
• Demonstrated expertise in the B2B EDI domain
• Strong experience with OpenText B2B / EDI solutions, including IDocs and communication protocols
• Hands‑on experience with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and XML
• Experience supporting production operations, service management, and project delivery
