Job Description
As an Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for supporting the evaluation of the adequacy of the Company's system of internal controls to ensure the protection of assets from loss, reliability and integrity of financial information and compliance with policies, plans, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong communication, planning, administrative, technical, and critical thinking skills. In addition, the Internal Auditor must be willing to learn from and be led by peers from time to time on various audits and department projects.
The Internal Auditor will report to the Senior Audit Manager and will engage with, and periodically, report to other Internal Audit team members independently. This position is ideal for auditors seeking to prepare for a broader finance or operational role, combining technical expertise with strategic impact. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time to domestic and international locations.

Cross-functional experience through financial, operational, and compliance audits across diverse business units, functions and geographies with a focus on North America.
Engagement with senior leadership, including periodic reporting to Internal Audit Leadership Team members.
Development of foundational skills in risk management, process optimization, and project leadership.

Responsibilities
Audit Planning
Assist in development of risk-based audit plan for North America.
Identify financial and operational risks and recommend for inclusion in audit scope and audit program for individual audits.
Assist the Project Manager with audit scope and participate in planning discussions with the VP regarding scoping considerations.
Participate in discussions with stakeholders regarding audit planning and scope to identify risk areas.
Audit Fieldwork
Conduct audits consistent with IIA Standards and department policies; contribute to timely completion of audit including communication of audit status to the Project Manager and VP.
Identify and document financial statement exposures, operational/process issues, internal control deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
If applicable, coordinate with other audit teams throughout fieldwork (e.g., IT, SOX etc.).
Adapt audit program and procedures as observations or new risk areas are identified during fieldwork.
Document audit observations into the department audit report format as the audit progresses.
Present audit observations to stakeholders during audit status update, interim and closing meetings.
Audit Wrap-Up
Finalize audit fieldwork and audit report consistent with department reporting guidelines.
Document audit observations and work with management to develop management action plans within the department identified timelines.
Conduct self-evaluations at the completion of each audit and discuss with the Project Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration.
2-4 years of audit experience in a corporate environment or with a public accounting firm.
Foundational knowledge of audit methodology and use of various audit tools to facilitate the audit process.
CPA, CIA, CISSA etc. or pursuing one certification required.
Experience/Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and part of a team.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JD Edwards).
Experience with Data Analytics and AI and tools (e.g., Power BI, Copilot).
