Job Description
As the Senior Manager, Technology Excellence & Enablement, you will lead strategic initiatives across the Canadian commercial organization to drive technology adoption – primarily CRM, enhance seller and customer experiences, and accelerate growth through improved funnel management and sales effectiveness. You will be a key member of the Sales Enablement & Effectiveness (SEE) Leadership Team, collaborating across business units, functions, and with the BD Canada Project Management Team to support critical Commercial Excellence initiatives.
This role partners closely with the Global Product Model team to align regional priorities with global strategies, leveraging the BD Excellence methodology to deliver impactful CRM, CPQ and CLM solutions. You will also oversee CRM/CPQ Dedicated Administrators and CLM Analysts (dotted-line reporting), ensuring strong governance and execution across the region.
Job Responsibilities:
Technology Excellence & Adoption Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of CRM Excellence initiatives and adoption strategies across Canada, that improve organizational effectiveness and accelerate growth through funnel rigor.
- Drive change management initiatives to embed CRM utilization and best practice into daily commercial workflows.
- Utilizing the CRM and other technologies, build Sales Effectiveness (SEE) dashboards and metrics that will help improve funnel hygiene, forecast accuracy, and seller productivity.
- Serve as key Leader/Liaison for Sales Enablement development, establishing user story requirements, and localized testing of assigned applications across Canadian business units.
Technology Roadmap & Innovation Delivery
- Lead the alignment of Canadian CRM, CPQ, and CLM technology roadmaps with the global roadmap through regional input and coordinated execution.
- Collaborate with TGS and Global Technology teams to deploy and communicate technology enhancements that drive improved user experience, adoption and utilization.
- Serve as the Canadian lead for key initiatives including CPQ, Sales Effectiveness Dashboarding, and Sales Funnel/Quota Visualization regionally and globally.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Engage with Canadian Leadership, Sales and Marketing, and Extended Leadership teams to identify needs and communicate progress on CRM and technology initiatives.
- Present monthly scorecard progress updates on initiatives in motion, needs from the commercial team and go-forward execution plans.
- Lead and drive Sales Enablement change management efforts.
- Partner with SEE Team, Business Unit Directors, and Sales and Marketing leaders to define CRM core competencies, to improve field level productivity and drive continuous improvement.
- Coach and support CRM/CPQ Delegated Administrators and CLM Analysts to ensure successful project execution and production support, while working closely with the BD Canada Project Management Team.
- Partner with Strategic Program and Project Managers on BD Excellence initiatives to drive Commercial Excellence.
Strategic Governance
- With dotted‑line reporting to the Global CRM Technology team, participate in global governance, release readiness, and stay aligned to global standards and ways of working.
- Establish governance frameworks and best practices for CRM, CPQ, and CLM solutions.
- Lead a regional network of Sales Leaders and Champions to drive collaboration, share best practices, and support change management efforts that advance Sales Enablement and Effectiveness strategies and initiatives.
Sales Enablement & Effectiveness Capability Building
- Own Saleforce.com training program content and delivery while collaborating with Sales Effectiveness team to develop training programs that align technology with sales processes and best practice.
- Act as a CRM/CPQ Subject Matter Expert (SME), keeping stakeholders informed of future capabilities and roadmap developments.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging capabilities by networking with external partners including Salesforce and Gartner, to bring strategic insights back to the Canadian organization to inform planning and innovation.
Education and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10 years of proven experience and leadership in sales enablement strategy, CRM, CPQ, CLM or related commercial excellence roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs (content development and facilitation), with proven success leading system‑related change initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Healthcare System and regulatory environment.
Knowledge and Skills required:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams.
- CRM excellence and adoption leadership (embedding best practices and usage into day-to-day commercial workflows).
- Demonstrated success influencing cross‑functional teams without formal authority, driving alignment, collaboration, and adoption of change.
- Advanced Salesforce expertise, enabling CRM Excellence through strong adoption strategies, disciplined funnel management, and measurable business impact.
- Proven experience operating in mid‑to‑large, fast‑paced, matrixed organizations, partnering with multiple stakeholders across functions.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to define performance metrics, develop dashboards and scorecards, and translate data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate performance, progress, and insights clearly to leadership and cross‑functional audiences.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and change‑management capabilities, with demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and driving alignment and adoption across the organization.
Preferred qualifications
- SAFe framework experience.
- Technology roadmap alignment and release readiness experience (regional-to-global governance participation).
- Deep CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) and CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) subject-matter expertise.
- External benchmarking and partner/vendor engagement (e.g., Salesforce, Gartner) to bring best practices internally.
- Fluency in French an asset.
Physical Demands
- Ability to travel up to 15% for training, business meetings or conferences (U.S. or Canada), and based on organizational needs.

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates’ progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors that contribute to the range displayed. The range displayed iscomprisedof wages, which includes base salary and commission, as well as certain components of our bonus programs. The salary offered to a successful candidate may vary based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, education, skills, qualifications, and work location.
Salary Range Information: $128,000 - $178,000 CADAnnual.
